Scroll down to know more details of this lovely wedding story.

Meet Bride & Groom

“It was purely love at first sight ( not seeing each other in person), but when we received each other’s bio-data. The 1st time we fell in love with each other was over a piece of paper and 3 sets of pictures. It was magical. We dated for less than a year before we got married, around 10 months. Mital, born and bought up in New Jersey comes to Vadodara, India in 2011 to play cricket professionally and decides to settle down in Vadodara. Aditi, born and bought up in Vadodara, India having a green card since her childhood, decides to give her green card up and settle in India. Tell me this wasn’t meant to be? “ — says the bride.

The Celebration

Mital wanted a Royal Palace wedding, while Aditi wanted a very intimate wedding away from her city with her family and close friends. Hence, the idea of destination wedding stuck in. The two checked a couple of heritage resorts in Rajasthan. However, Ajit Bhawan Palace was love at first sight. The warm hospitality, delicious delicacies from the world and the perfect ambience of this resort were perfect for their wedding.

Engagement Ceremony

Pre-Wedding Engagement was a very subtle/elegant function where the bride & groom exchanged their rings and cut cake. They stuck to the theme of red roses and white Rajnighandha.

Aditi had 5 absolutely different looks for her wedding festivities. For her pre-wedding, she wanted to go for a very classy and traditional look. So, she chose a red saree while Mital wore a Royal blue short Jodhpuri. The bride complemented her looks with a subtle golden eye with red lips makeup and a messy braided hair bun.

Mehendi

Mehendi was a sundown opening function of their 3-day wedding function. They stuck to a typical Rajasthani theme from décor to food. For entertainment, the bride & groom had called for ChickeenMasala, a band from Mumbai which was the light of this function. It was a couple that played drums on Gujarati Garba, hip-hop Bollywood, and English music. From grandparents, the aunts and uncles, to youngsters everyone danced on the beats of these drummers.

For Mehendi, our beautiful bride wanted to go for something chic and playful. She went for a subtle pink brown eye shadow with a fishtail braid. Her outfit was a simple crop top with chic statement sleeves and a floral embroidered skirt.

Vidhi / Haldi

For Vidhi/ Haldi, there was a Gujarati Bandhani theme for the décor and Gujarati food menu. For this ceremony, the bride wanted to go for traditional as Gujaratis give a lot of importance to this event. So she went for an ivory golden pink saree with a full sleeve blouse with studded pearls on it. Her make up was very natural but fun half-bun hair.

Vidhi Ceremony

Sangeet

There was a Western theme for Sangeet Night. The bride & groom stuck to royal blue and gold-colored décor and continental menu. Aditi went for a western look with Royal blue embellished top and English skirt giving royal prince vibes. Her makeup was glam. She had dark blue smokey eyes with nude lips and a statement diamond hair accessory on the side. While Mital looked dapper in a black tuxedo.

Wedding

The wedding setup was magical with extremely traditional decor with elephant structures made of red/white flowers, a mandap open to the sky covered in red roses. Red roses because they symbolize love. For the wedding, the bride wanted something super traditional, classy and rich. She wanted to be a minimalistic bride. Her phera lehenga was pink in color giving major bride goals. As the wedding was a sundowner the color of lehenga complemented the occasion very well.
